თუფაკ ამარუ შაკური (16.07.1971 - 13.09.1996) დაიბადა ბრუკლინში, ნიუ-იორკში. მისი მშობლები იყვნენ ”შავი პანტერას” დაჯგუფების წევრები, რომლებიც იბრძოდნენ ნაციონალური დისკრიმინირების და თეთრ კანიანების მმართველობის წინააღმდეგ. თუფაკის დედა, აფენი შაკური, ორსულობის პერიოდში იხდიდა სასჯელს ნიუ-იორკის ციხეში. მოზარდობისას თუფაკი სწავლობდა ბალტიმორის ხელოვნების სკოლაში, ხოლო შემდგომ ოჯახთან ერთად გადავიდა საცხოვრებლად ოკლენდში, სადაც დაიწყო ნამდვილი ”ქუჩური ცხოვრებით” ცხოვრება. სცენაზე თუფაკის პირველი გამოჩენა გახდა ჯგუფ Digital Underground-თან ერთად. მისი დახმარებით ჯგუფმა ჩაიწერა პირველი სადებიუტო ალბომი “Sex Packets”, რომელიც ითვლებოდა საუკეთესო ნამუშევრად, მაგრამ მალევე თუფაკმა მიატოვა ჯგუფი, რადგან ჩათვალა უპერსპეკტივოთ. 1992 წელს, თავისი პირველი ალბომის გამოსვლის შემდეგ “2Pacalyps ... კითხვის გაგრძელება »
